10-word review: Willow knew what she wanted, but had to find her voice

I had the pleasure of meeting Lana when she came in for a headshot. First of all I LOVED her name! Great for what she does! I was so excited to hear about her book that she would be releasing in the near future. “Willow’s Whispers”. I could not wait to celebrate with her at her book launch party. I took my camera to capture the event. Congratulations Lana!

Kiwi Magazine Review: Everyone assumed that Willow agreed because she never complained and she never said a word. But, Willow wanted to be the line leader. She made a magic microphone out of a tp tube and magically finds her voice and speaks up for herself. When the magic microphone breaks, Willow realizes that she could speak up without any magic. The text is well-written and age-appropriate, and the illustrations are whimsical and appealing. Any child who has a little trouble speaking up for him or herself might just find their own voice with the help of this book.
Here are some images of her party…

Meet the Mabel’s Labels Ladies…Make sure to check out there site www.mabel.ca .My kids used them at camp this summer! They are an amazing product!
We are moms who were frustrated by the amount of stuff that left our houses, never to return. After lots of research and testing we created the perfect fun, durable labels for the stuff kids lose! Our sticky labels and clothing labels, which are dishwasher, microwave and laundry safe, are not only practical, but also designed to be very special to each child. The labels are customized with a child’s name, favourite mix of colours and an icon (animal, symbol, etc.). We have also expanded our product line to include personalized stationery products, ID wristbands and household labels. We strive to continuously design innovative labels for babies, kids and grown-ups alike. You’ll be amazed at what you can label!

Julie Cole is the face of Mabel’s. She has SIX kids…yes ladies SIX! She is an amazing woman. Check out her blog if you would like to learn more about this amazing mom! http://www.mabelhood.com/
“Whatido” is an exciting new program designed to celebrate both the personal and professional calling of christian men and women in their workplace. I was asked to be featured in a segment last November and now the show is moving to a new half hour program. Brigitte Foisy and I will be on the first episode. For those of you who do not know, I was a very rebellious teen with a lot of anger toward my family. I was out of control and into many things that I shouldn’t have been…. which led to being kicked out of my home at the age of 15. At 18 (still very angry & rebellious) I attended a church play with my Dad and at the end I realized my need for Jesus and asked him to come into my life. A year and four months later, after a lot of searching and analyzing, my life was dramatically changed. I felt God’s Love in my life and was instantly healed of all of my addictions, anger, and bad habits. I was a new person through Christ (2 Corinthians 5:17). My parents couldn’t be happier as I asked them for forgiveness for the way that I had treated them. Their angry bitter child was now a new person full of LOVE , JOY, PEACE, PATIENCE, KINDNESS, GENTLENESS and SELF CONTROL. (Don’t get me wrong…I am still FAR from perfect) I went back to school, got a full time job, met my eventual husband (Jesus had also changed his life), got married, and had three beautiful children in a very short amount of time (three kids in two and a half years). I fell instantly in love with them and wanted to document every moment of their life on film. I would set up backdrops, and take photo after photo but never thought of it as a career until a girlfriend of mine from up north come over for a play date with her son. She was showing pictures that she had done by a professional photographer in her home studio. I took a look and said “WOW, I can do better than these ….This is it! This is what I am going to do!” It has now been 8 years since my business was established and I ‘ve been priveledged to be voted number one in Burlington for the last four years for best Photographer and best studio. Thank you so much to all who have supported me throughout the years! The name “Vine Images” comes from the Scripture verse John 15:5. ”I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.” All the images that I capture are of God’s creation (God’s Images) and I love it!!!! People are beautiful!!! If you would like to read my full story please go to Pages Link Above and then click on “My Story”. Here are a few pictures of the taping.
I would love to hear from you! If you could take some time to email me or make a comment below I would greatly appreciate it! (please note that comments take a day to process.)
- Airing Sunday November 1st at 6:00pm on CTS
This is me getting my make-up on (she did a great job!)

Getting the mic put on. (see above) Talking to the producer (see below).

You will have to watch the show to find out what I was talking about! It will be airing in November. I will keep you posted!

A big Thank You to Lesley Langdon (my sister) & Stefan Pahapill (one of my Co-op students) for documenting this event! Great job Buddy! You are brilliant and are going to be very successful!
O.k. so here is what happened. I received a phone call from my husband today (Norman…never thought I would marry a Norman…hahaha) that he was on the 407 and totally out of gas. I had an on-location session with’in the hour so I packed up all my gear and went on my way to rescue him. When I pulled up behind him I noticed my camera on the seat beside me and could not help myself in documenting the Second time I have rescued him on the 407 for the very same reason! He could not help but laugh as he got out of the car and saw the massive lens taking his picture. Take a look…
When he came around the back of the van to get the gas out of the trunk…it was locked… the van has an auto locking sytem…I thought it was pretty funny for him to struggle for a minute!

And finally…he is putting the gas in the tank.
